We are delighted that the C-Path platform has now launched. On the 27th September, following a digital event with 30 local authority and other public sector representatives present, C-Path finally hit computer screens across the region. Within 24 hours, 20 different local authorities started to use the portal.

Just nine months after funding and investment in the platform was confirmed, the team behind C-Path were able to provide access to the online data platform giving fast, reliable, accessible and simplified access to, and analysis of, property-by-property energy and carbon data. Importantly, as a result of initial support from the South East LEP, each of the 35 local, county and unitary authorities will have cost-free access to the cloud-based facility, in perpetuity.

An online platform giving fast, reliable, accessible and simplified access to, and analysis of, property-by-property energy and carbon data.

C-Path provides a vital tool for parties involved in the domestic retrofit process, by revolutionising the speed with which huge and complex datasets can be analysed, and enabling precious funding and other resources to be better targeted. C-Path enables project planning aligned to multiple priorities and KPIs – whether that be carbon saving, fuel poverty alleviation, cost efficiency or job creation. Through C-Path, users can target household types, different tenures, fuel types and others, across all the main domestic retrofit measures to be found in domestic retrofit schemes.

But we are not stopping there. The team is now working on the next stages of C-Path’s development, which will include expanding the platform into the non-domestic sector, and providing management, implementation and evaluation capability, essential if we are to achieve our carbon reduction goals over the next decade.
